Medical Oncologist · CEO, Nexgen Precision
OncologyIT is an independent platform for analysis and education at the intersection of oncology, health IT, and artificial intelligence. It exists because the people making decisions about AI in cancer care — oncologists, health IT leaders, practice administrators — deserve analysis from someone who has operated in all three worlds.
I'm a medical oncologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. I was among the early adopters of electronic medical records — implementing iKnowMed when most practices were still on paper — and have watched the full arc of health IT from early EMR adoption through the current wave of agentic AI.
I hold an MIT Sloan AI Healthcare Executive Certificate and serve as CEO of Nexgen Precision, where we're building AI-native infrastructure for oncology practices.
My work sits at a specific intersection: I'm a clinician who builds technology, not a technologist who advises clinicians. That distinction matters when the stakes are patient outcomes.
This platform is vendor-independent. No sponsored content, no affiliate-driven recommendations, no venture capital influence. The analysis is shaped by clinical reality, not commercial interest.
I write with a specific reader in mind: the oncologist who is skeptical of hype but knows something fundamental is changing, and wants to understand it clearly enough to act on it.
